Indoor Fun...

Madeline's favorite saying: "MaaaMAAA!"

Yummy apple!

Fun with Homemade Playdough:

3 c. H2O
3 c. Flour
2 T Oil
1 T. Cream of Tartar
1 pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid
1.5 cups Salt

**Mix in saucepan and heat over low heat till clumps together and becomes very stiff. Divide into lumps and add food coloring. Keeps very well and texture is similiar to the regular Play-Dough, but a little bit softer. I really like this stuff! I was thinking it'd make a cute gift to do a set of 3 or 4 different colored balls and pkg it creatively.**

Madeline's daily hair-do...yikes!

Evening Guests: Kyle and Gretchen & Alaina

(the Mom's actually got a photo this time!:)

The Dad's--Wow...the girls look the same age now!

Girls w/ boy toys

Yeah...one pix w/ all 4 kids looking at the camera!

Indoor Football--things get wrecked! (good thing I don't have valuables! my $3 garage sale find did get hit ;(

Christmas Traditions: Decorating!

Some of the signs that it's Christmas at our house...

Madeline and her Great-Grandma Nett w/ her holiday dress on...

Decorating the house...hanging snowflakes in the windows.

Making gingerbreads

Putting out "The Village" at Grandma Bobbie's. I remember the excitement of setting out this ceramic village that my Grandma painted. Now my children are in on the fun w/ their Great-Grandma!

Thanksgiving x 3!

We had lots of fun over Thanksgiving Weekend. We saw lots of family. So here's my very belated post on Thanksgiving...for posterity's sake. :)

Friday & Saturday: Papa Chris and Nana's

Gracie and her mama...train tracks on Nana's kitchen floor...

(Wild hair lady)

Shopping was one of the fun things we did on Friday with all the girls minus Therese. (she had to stay home and study--so she said. :) She missed out!

Grace: The Movie Star

The Auntie and the cousins...Eva was still very light-sensitive, that's why she's wearing the sunglasses...thankfully that has mostly dissappeared! (Hats are an Auntie Krista production. :)

Fun at Nana's--that gymnastics mat has gone through all of us 7 kids, and now onto the grands.

...enjoying Nana's taco soup...

Somehow, I failed to get pictures of all of our immediate Miller family having fun together playing Speed Scrabble. George and Krista taught us how to play, and it's way more fun that regular Scrabble. We watched the movie "Faith Like Potatoes" and didn't get home till 12:30 am! [That movie is now on our top favorite list--it's a must-see!] It's been ages since we've all been together w/ just us...it was kinda nice!

Justin's Mom always has quite the spread for Thanksgiving/Christmas. Some of the highlights of Thanksgiving at Papa Lou's and Grandma Janeen's:
*Wrestling w/ Uncle Brian
*Playing, reading, drawing, and laughing w/ Auntie Becky

*Playing White Elephant Bingo--the first annual :) (It was funny! Justin was quite offended that Janeen had put her toilet paper holder in that Justin had bought her--like 12 years ago! He was wanting to win it, then wrap it up for her Christmas gift)
Here is William trying to decide which prize to take...he opted for a porcelain chicken w/ a nest and some eggs. By the end of the afternoon, it had all shattered. William had the most surprised and sad look on his face.

William and Natasha--cousins

Nick and Alyssa...
More reading w/ Auntie Becky

Justin's Dad's was the first place we visited. The pictures are not in order, but oh, well. It was so nice to visit with Kendall and Carolyn and see their new appartment. They have much more space now! William and Madeline cried hysterically until they put their little dogs away...goodness! It was quite the greeting! We had a good visit and wish we could see them more often.

The boys and I read about the Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving and did crafts during Thanksgiving week. Here's one of their masterpieces... (Samuel's is first, William's follows)
