I'm back!!

Well, after our internet has been down for, forever, it seems...I'm back. I've been checking all my favorite sites and "window shopping" online for clothes. Since I've been going through closets, I know what we all need. I "need" non-pregant/post -pregancy clothes. And, goodness! Everything's so expensive! I did see a lot of cute stuff though! ---EDIT: I shopped several resale shops last week and found very cute things for great prices. Things for me and the kids. Goodness! I can hardly stand to pay full price for things--had to on a few things for me...jeans are just hard for me to find resale. Anyhow...I'm glad to have that checked off my list. I was able to coordinate outfits for our family pictures we had TODAY! yay! Kinda curious to see if we got any good ones...ya never know with so many little faces. :) It'll be a memory, for sure--even if there aren't any *perfect* ones--good times!

I've gotten an extensive amount of stuff done the past week or two. I'm realizing that I'm very efficient without THE INTERNET! It's a great feeling to knock out lots of things on the to-do list! Sometimes I get distracted from my chores, when I decide quick to check my email. I end up using up all my nap-time-get-stuff-done-time looking at people's blogs and researching stuff. It's not always a time-waster for me, but not having Internet for a week, did show me how efficient I can be w/out it. And speaking of to-do list, our little schedule thing has been going well. I use it more as a guideline and an order to my day, since no 2 days are alike. ;) I did want to mention that although my routine thingy is helpful...it doesn't run my life. I basically wanted something written down just to give me a guideline and an order to my day. I don't always follow the time so rigidly. Maybe I will once I actually start homeschooling "for real". :) It can be easy to fall into the "OH MY! We're off the schedule--exactly 45 minutes behind"--b/c someone invariably wets the bed(s) or spills cereal all over, or we have to do an unexpected errand or phone call. Just wanted to mention that...Everything is going well, and I'm glad I made a routine for us. It does help me be more organized, productive, thinking ahead, and less rushed/stressed.

I can't believe this weather! I think we just skipped the beautiful October weather, and went straight to cold/dreary late November weather. I'm glad I've taken out our warm clothes. We haven't broken down and turned our heat on, yet. I have spinach, beets, and lettuce coming up in my fall garden. We'll see how it goes. I think I should've started earlier. I still have garlic to plant. My spring-planted-garlic is kinda small. I'm curious if the fall-planted kind will produce bigger bulbs. Hmm...

EDIT: I started this post about a week ago...so some of this stuff is "old"--but that's what was going through my head when I started writing...so I'll just go ahead and post it. :) There's so many things I need to write here or in my "Mommy Notebook" that I don't want to forget. For some reason, it takes me forever to upload pictures to blogger. I can only do 3 at a time, now. I'm not sure why. Any ideas?
